Five Essentials On the Fly - A Slide Show & Fly Tying Presentation by David Skok -

Springtime Blues
Large waves of lean and angry bluefish invade our frigid waters every May in search of our fast-moving fluorescent poppers. We curse at six-pound blues during bonito season, but these early arrivals may be the most celebrated fish of the season! Fishing the Squid Runs
There is no more exciting fishing than watching purple squid flying out of the water with twenty-pound bass in hot pursuit. The squid runs of June and August provide many anglers with the best chance of the year for large fly-caught bass. Sight-Casting To Picky Stripers
Gone are the days of the white and chartreuse Clouser Minnow-only fly box. Skinny water stripers can be tough, not only because they're spooky, but also because they will feed selectively on less than obvious food forms. A few new patterns have saved my past few sight-fishing Summers. Cliff Fishing
Not for the faint of heart or those shaky on their feet, cliff fishing in rolling surf can provide high excitement and a chance at some very large stripeedos. Targeting the Summer Oddball Species
A few nice weather days should be set aside for targeting the oddball species that make their way up the Gulf Stream every year. Species to be discussed include mushmouth and bullet tunas, mahi mahi and various species of jacks among others.
